Homework expectations in Year 6

 Each week, homework is set and due in on a Monday. It will normally be expected that children complete:
20 mins per week of Times Tables Rock Stars
5 reads per week
20 minutes of English
20 minutes of maths
This will be a variety of worksheets, online activities and independent working on individual targets.
Marking will be a mixture of online, peer marking and teacher/TA as appropriate.

  1. Spellings have been given in class and set on Spelling Shed. It’s up to you how you practice them – spelling test Mondays. List is: overbalance, overthrow, overturned, overcoat, overslept, overcook, overpaid, overreact, overtired, overlooked
  1. Complete the comprehension questions given.

  2. Complete the practice sheet on long division – ideally, teach somebody else how to do it!


  1. Talk to me any lunch time if you want support with your homework.
