Key stage 2 intra-school Netball and Benchball Tournament!

Blessed by the glorious spring weather last week (Thursday 9th March 2017), the whole of Key Stage 2 put their ball skills to the test, to compete in our annual house team intra-school Netball championship.

The school houses, Gryffindor (red), Slytherin (green), Hufflepuff (yellow) and Ravenclaw (blue) battled it out against each other, to win and take pride of the house trophy for the Spring Term.

For the lower Key Stage 2 houses (year 3 and 4) efforts were high and the scores were grippingly close in the outdoor Benchball heats. A huge congratulations goes out to the Gyffindor house team who won overall. Ravenclaw and Slytherin houses closely followed, positioning in joint second place and Hufflepuff house took third place.

During the tense Netball matches later on in the morning, year 5 and 6 pupils used all of their physical and tactical skill to try and outwit their opposing teams. Alongside sweat, tears and laughter, overall victory was awarded to the Ravenclaw house team who’s A and B teams won overall. The Hufflepuff’s took second place, followed by the Gryffindor’s and then the Slytherin’s.

Following both house team events, the scores have been totted up and the house team positions finalised.

The house team results for the Spring term are as follows:
1st Place – Ravenclaw House (blue team)

2nd Place – Gryffindor House (red team)

Joint 3rd Place – Slytherin House (green team) and Hufflepuff House (yellow team)
