Golden reward

Children at two Stourport schools have been rewarded for consistent long term excellent behaviour and attitudes towards learning with some “golden trips” that reward their achievements in school.

Pupils from Lickhill Primary and Wilden All Saints Primary School have joined forces to celebrate those children that are always doing the right thing and making the right decisions. The scheme has been called “The Golden Gang”.

These children have been recognised and then each half term have a chance to be chosen to enjoy a trip or a special activity. The most recent trip was to Frankie + Benny’s to make and eat pizza. Fourteen pupils from each school had a great time and were made to feel very welcome by the staff as they created their perfect pizza. Another group had previously enjoyed a trip to a local golf course for some golf lessons.

Jane Lloyd, Deputy Head at Lickhill said, “It is a delightful way to reward those children who are consistently working hard and behaving well. We have lots of reward schemes which catch all children, but it is great to be able to have a group of children from two schools that can go out into the community and show just how polite and well-behaved pupils can be!”

The schools have only been able to run these activities through the generosity of Whittles Coaches, Frankie + Benny’s and Churchill & Blakedown golf club. We hope to continue to run these events for many years to come.

Water, water!

This week the school were lucky enough to have a visit from Mr Paul Tingle from Severn Trent. He gave a very amusing assembly on the importance of saving water, which the children really enjoyed.
