Vicki Campbell – Chair – Parent Governor

Qualifications: I have a degree in interior Design.

Work history: My current role is in sales for a Shipping company. I was previously sales director, procurement manager, business development manager, UK transport manager and European transport manager.

Curriculum: I am the SEND governor as well as The arts, and PE.

Interests: I enjoy reading, travelling, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Why you wanted to be/are a Governor: I wanted to be a governor to help Lickhill reach its full potential, assisting the school to be able to invest in the learning and development of the children.


Ben Bevan – Vice-Chair – Community Governor

 Qualifications: Microsoft Certified Professional

Work history/relevant experience: 20 years’ experience, designing, building and maintaining mission critical IT systems for multi-national media and retail organisations.

Curriculum responsibilities: IT and Science.

Passions/interests: Spending quality time with my 2 children, extended family and friends.  Anything in the great outdoors including camping, distance/trail running and walking my very active Labrador Molly.

Why you wanted to be/are a Governor: As a parent of two children, I was particularly interested in understanding more about our education system and how I could assist Lickhill Primary School in maintaining its high standards and outstanding status.


Andrew McKay (Chair of Finance) Community Governor

Qualifications: FCCA – (chartered accounting)

Work history/relevant experience: Currently working for a large Swedish Group with UK locations based out of Bridgnorth Shropshire as a financial director.  Qualified Certified accountant having worked in both practice and Industry with 35 years’ experience

Curriculum responsibilities: risk management

Passions/interests: Spending quality time with, family and friends.  Enjoy archery and walks with family.

Why you wanted to be/are a Governor: Became involved with Lickhill Primary School when my daughter started her education and became a parent governor. At the time the school was in special measures. Worked with SLT to recover the school to outstanding and supported the school during its conversion to an academy. Implemented stand alone financial systems following the conversion with the School Admin team. Left at the end of the 2014 school term due to work comments.

Re-joined the school as a community governor in 2019 having kept in touch during my absence.

Fiona Perks – Parent Governor

Qualifications: AAT qualified Accounting Technician. CIMA Qualified accountant

Work history: Current role: Director of my Bookkeeping company, providing Bookkeeping services to small to medium businesses within the surrounding area .Previous job: Branch financial Accountant for a multi national engineering company, responsible for the accounting function (8 Years). Previous job : Financial Accountant within a Head Office of a skin care business with over 30 clinics nationwide.  Responsible for 2 members of staff. I have worked within finance departments in industry for over 15 years which has given me great exposure to many areas of finance at all levels.

Curriculum: Maths

Passion/interests: I started my business in March 2019 so am very passionate about making a success of this whilst also achieving a good work, life balance for my family. I have a young family and we love to spend time together outdoors walking our Dog and spending time as a family.

Why you wanted to be/are a Governor: I believe my experience gives me a good financial and ethical background and as my son has joined Reception class and my second child will join the school in 2022 I am keen to help ensure that the school continues to be held to the high standards that it already achieves.


Julia Morse – Parent Governor

Qualifications: Qualified as an adult nurse (2007)

Work history: For 20 years, I have worked in the health and social care sector, from voluntary carer at the age of 16, then qualifying as a nurse and then in 2008 I moved into regulation as an Inspector for the CQC.

Curriculum: English (also safeguarding and health and safety)

Passion/interests: spending quality family time with my boys and husband, walking our two sausage dogs and cooking.

Why you wanted to be/are a Governor: I believed in the Lickhill ethos, which is why I chose Lickhill for my boys to attend. I had considered being a governor for a while, and when the opportunity arose for a parent governor I put myself forward. I have always had a passion for helping others, driving improvement and striving for quality. I thought that my skills and experience in my working role could be transferable into a governor role to help and support Lickhill.
