Forensic Scientist visits Year 1 and 2!

Foot prints, finger prints and clothing fibres were all taken to try and solve the crime that had happened in out school hall. Mr Shaw, who is a forensic scientist set up a fake crime scene for us and showed us what he would do in his job to try and capture the culprit. He explained how important his protective clothing is to both help protect him and the crime scene. We got to try some of it on including: a face mask, shoe protectors, rubber gloves and  hair nets. 

He also let us play with some of his equipment. - microscopes, fingerprint charts and much more. 

We learnt so much from Mr Shaw today that we didn't know before. Thank you!
