Year 5 Shadow Investigation!

Year 5 have been discovering why our shadows change during the day and why the sun appears to move across the sky.

At intervals throughout the day, we went out onto the playground and we observed our own shadows, their length and direction.  Our inquiry led to so many questions being generated and our scientific thoughts discussed.

We even used this data we collected back in our Maths session to chart the changes!
