  • How To Make George's Marvellous Medicine

Thu 28 Nov 2019 Mrs Murrells

Recently Year 2 have finished a brilliant class novel; George's Marvellous Medicine. We loved it!

This week the class have wowed us by learning a new Talk 4 Write that instructs others how to make a marvellous medicine of their own.

Parents of Year 2 children, see if your child can remember all the actions as they tell it to you!

  • Christmas lights switch on competition winners!

    Sun 24 Nov 2019
A HUGE congratulations to these two young people, who were in Kidderminster on Saturday. They performed confidently in front of festive shoppers with style, as winners of a local competition to perform at the Big Switch On! Well done. We are very proud.
  • Year 4 and Pre School make houses for hedgehogs.

    Sun 24 Nov 2019
This week we made houses for hedgehogs. We worked together to camouflage the homes ready for any animal wishing to hibernate. We then had a little free time to enjoy the mud!
  • Portraiture in Year 3 and 4

    Mon 18 Nov 2019
Year 3 and 4 spent a calm and very productive morning together mixing and painting in their block background colours for their own Tudor portrait. Having previously spent time mixing and recording the recipes for individual colours which they might use, they spent this time putting their recipes to good use. As you can see from the pictures, the portraits are coming on well.
  • Active English

    Mon 18 Nov 2019
Monster Noun relay was a great game for the Year 4 children to play. They enjoyed racing to collect a picture, racing back to their group and then working with team mates to create expanded noun phrases. Some of the sentences were amazing!
  • Year 3 and Reception - Buddy challenges for Children in Need.

    Fri 15 Nov 2019 Mr Leavesley-Matthews

Year 3 and Reception had a fabulous morning together in the hall today, hula hooping, skipping and challenging themselves, all for Children in Need.

Children across the school wore their sports kit and took part in a range of fun activities, donating a pound towards this wonderful cause.

We are already very proud of our Year 3 and Reception buddies, but this morning was a particularly fabulous example of how kind, caring and helpful they are to each other.

Working with our buddies helps each class to develop their whole class Thrive targets. These are very special friendships that last throughout the rest of their time at Lickhill.

    Great work folks!

  • Year 4 Skipping

    Tue 12 Nov 2019

Every Thursday Year 4 will be practising their skipping skills. We started by recapping the skills we learned in the taster session and then had a go at a few more. As you can see it was fantastic fun!

All children completed a speed test and this will become their own baseline count. They will complete a speed test in a week or so, and then one at the end of the sessions to track their own improvement.
