Does the temperature of the water affect the rate at which a biscuit disintegrates? This is the question Year 4 set about to answer on Friday. Armed with data loggers and water of varying temperatures, they carried out a fair test using 4 different types of biscuit.

Year 4 have had the most fantastic day at SHS. The activities were all developed by their students to promote problem solving and team work. The weather meant we could be outside. The children were a real credit to themselves and the school. Well done Year 4.

Wow...I was so impressed with year 5 today. They literally put their backs into it! Brilliant team work and resilience made it such an enjoyable morning. Well done all!

Year 5 and Year 2 had a lovely trip this morning.  We went to the library in Stourport,  had a look around and enjoyed sharing some books together. 

Following our recent DT topic which included investigating the properties of different fabrics, we wanted to test some fabric for flammability.  We placed squares of material on a grid over the fire and we noticed that some burned more readily than others, and some seemed to just melt!

This year the we celebrated World Book day by dressing up as our favourite character from a book. It was a real treat to see a wide range of interesting costumes. Thank you to our wonderful Lickhill families for all the support in encouraging their children to develop a strong love for reading.  Well done to everyone who helped.
