Adaptation in Y6
Tue 22 Sep 2020We were very lucky today to be able to have Rob's expertise in the classroom and to have the wonderful resource of the Lickhill menagerie to support our learning in science. The children enjoyed getting up close to the bearded dragon, vinegaroon, stick insects and tortoise. We were identifying their adaptations that allow them to survive in their habitats. -
Forest School for Year 6
Thu 17 Sep 2020A lovely time in the sunshine today...remembering how to light a fire properly and then some free play. Beautiful! -
Fabulous Felting
Thu 17 Sep 2020Last Friday Ms Lloyd came in to Year 4 to show us how to 'Felt'. It is really quite hard work! You have to put in a lot of effort to make sure the friction created by rolling generates enough heat to shrink the wool. A beautiful end result, stunning!

Welcome Back Year 3!
Thu 17 Sep 2020WOW! What an absolutely wonderful start back to school we have had in Year 3! The past few weeks have flown by and we have filled these warm autumn days with singing, yoga, athletics, drawing, painting, felting... the list goes on and on!
We have spent time in the classroom getting back into the rhythm of school life and we are now ready to fly.
Alongside their weekly reads, this coming week children will also have spellings and tables to complete. We have also started to register the class on Edmodo. Edmodo is a fantastic platform that whilst we are in school will serve as a shared notice board, but should we be required to work from home for any reason will become our virtual classroom.
Thank you for all of the hard work and patience from home as we settle into new routines.

Year 6 activities
Wed 16 Sep 2020It has been a busy and productive start to the year. I've been delighted with how well the children have settled. It feels really good to be back! Here are some photos of some highlights from the last few days: fabulous forest school; cracking computer suite and mesmerising moths. Thanks Rob and Ms Harcup! 🙂
