  • Word Day- Year 4

    Sat 20 Mar 2021
Word Day this year was great fun! I was amazed by all the different words that the children came dressed as. Some I had not heard of before! What a great way to broaden our vocabulary! Thank you to everyone for taking part, and to parents for their support. We couldn't do it without you.
  • Back to school March 2021

    Tue 16 Mar 2021 Mrs A. Williams
We had a wonderful back to school breakfast! We are definitely going to pencil this in at every opportunity! It was lovely to see the children re-connect and talk! Cheers from Reception!
  • Welcome back Year 1

    Mon 15 Mar 2021 A Jones

It has been absolutley wonderful to welcome Year 1 back into the classroom. The children have come in with smiles and laughter, happy to be back in the classroom. We have spent much of the week catching up and checking in with the children and it is so good to have their company once more. They have loved their time in the hall thinking about how toys move and putting actions to music and were very happy to be back in Forest School.

  • First week back for Year 3

Fri 12 Mar 2021 Mr Dowden

It has been beaming smiles all round, as Year 3 finally returned to school this week. The children have thoroughly enjoyed catching up with one another and have settled back as if they have never been away. As part of our science curriculum and to celebrate our 'new' start, the children have planted a runner bean seed which they will nurture and observe over the coming weeks. They have also had the opportunity to explore the changes in season and our natural world whilst attending Forest School, as well as getting creative in the classroom.

    Onwards and upwards!

  • Year 4 are Back and Ready to Roll!

    Fri 12 Mar 2021
What a lovely first week back after lockdown. On Monday we were all a bit nervous, but by playtime we were too busy catching up with friends and exchanging news to feel anything other than happiness! After some fun with digital routes for the times tables, we made dream catchers and ensured that Storm has had the best few nights' sleep for a while! No unsettling dreams for him! Being back together as a class is THE BEST! Looking forward to next week. 😁
  • Year 2 are back!!!

Mon 08 Mar 2021 Mrs Rodriguez

What a lovely morning so far! The children have come in with mixed emotions - some a little nervous, others raring to go. By break time however, they were all full of smiles and loving being back together!

We have spent some time catching up, sharing stories of lockdown as well as playing games and activities which require team work and good communication.

We read the book 'My Strong Mind' by Niels Van Hove which is all about taking control of our mind to help us overcome any challenges. We made an oragami paper boat, the same as the main character Kate, to help us learn how to use breathe to calm our emotions. She calls it 'rock the boat'. You place the paper boat on your tummy and it rocks when you breath in and out deeply and slowly. Have a go together! We were blown away by how well the children listened and followed the complicated instructions to make their own boat!

It is such a joy to have them all back together!
